Slack lining is a balance extreme sport that uses nylon webbing stretched tightly between 2 anchor points. Slacklining is different from tight rope walking in that the line is not rigidly taut, it is instead dynamic, bouncing and stretching like a long and narrow trampoline. The slackline's tension can be adjusted to suit the users skill and ability to achieve a variety of feats. The strap line itself is flat, due to the nature of webbing, this keeping the users footing from rolling as would be the case with a normal rope. The dynamic nature of the line allows for impressive tricks and stunts.
